NICK DUFFIELD
Nick Duffield is Australia's No1 Extreme Street Luge Pilot.
Living in Adelaide Australia, Nick has progressed from just an interest in the sport to being Australia's No1 & No7 in the world in just two years.
At 18 years of age, Nick is one of the youngest Street Luge Pilots in the world. Racing with his home built Luge in Cape Town South Africa in February 2001, Nick was able to qualify second fastest behind Dave Rogers a world champion from the USA before crashing out in race three to end up in 7th place.
On the weekend April 27th & 28th 2001 we saw Nick up against Dave & the rest of the championship squad in the Qualifying for the 2001 Summer Extreme Games Street Luge in the Saint George UTAH Grand Prix.
Nick excelled himself with a 7th Place in the Six person Final & Second place in the Four person Final.
