MOST DIATOMACEOUS EARTH FILTERS HAVE THESE GENERAL COMPONENTS.

DEFILTER

de breakdown

The average DE filter has a split tank which contains the filter pads.
The pads hold Diatomaceous Earth which is the filter.
The Valve connects to the pump outlet & the water goes to the tank body & through the DE on the outside of the pads, to the inside of the pads & is collected in chambers in the spiders, it then flows to the valve & back to the pool.
The rubbish is collected on & in the DE powder, not on the pads..
